The boys and I had a beautiful weekend together. We soaked up the company of our very dear friends on Saturday night.  Mikey went through all of his toys and said Brodie could have all of his “baby toys”, which made me happy that he’s so willing to share and a bit sad that he no longer plays with baby toys.  He said and I quote, “All I’ll ever need is my Star Wars toys.”   If this statement still holds true at the age of sixteen, we’ll have some work to do.   He has mastered all of the Jedi moves as you can clearly see.  It does not matter where we are, those moves are in full effect.  At Target on Sunday, I once again watched Michael walk over to the Starbucks counter and grab two straws.  He quietly took off the wrappers and then proceeded to pretend they were green light sabers.  The display came complete with sound effects (very loud sound effects) and by the time we were ready to  move on, he had an audience of people watching him flail about.  Brady and I just sat and watched laughing.  If the Jedi thing doesn’t work out, he’ll have a career in showbiz – of this I’m certain.

But you know what else? He’s the sweetest child with the biggest heart. He says things every day that amaze me.  He hands out random hugs, kisses, and “I Love You’s” daily for  no reason and then continues on his way again.  He doesn’t complain, hates to see people sad, and has stolen the hearts of his daddy and I…never to be returned.

Much Love,

Krysta
