…I look forward to them every week.  No school. No schedule. Sleeping in.  Cuddling.  Watching movies. Coffee outings. Belly laughing. Grocery shopping.  Extra treats.

…and munching on those delicious cheeks…even if he “is six now dude” and wipes them off incessantly…

Much Love,

Wellll, we’re back from Vegas…our whirlwind trip to Vegas!  Seriously, I think every second of our three short days there were accounted for.  I had my camera out for maaayyybe 17 minutes which is funny seeing as we were at one of the world’s largest photography conferences.   So, these are just a few happy snaps I was able to take on our last day there, 45 minutes before we had to head back to the airport.

That being said, B and I had so much fun. We were able to catch up with old friends, meet up with new ones, and sadly missed out on meeting some really lovely people because of lack of TIME!  We were also able to participate in something so wonderful and beautiful. I cannoooot wait to share with you all! I am a wee bit anxious myself waiting to see the end results!!

My new best friend – the B-Hobo Kelly Moore bag. Love love love and it beats  lugging around my gray travel backpack any day.

I don’t know if anyone else would be as excited as me to see the world’s largest chocolate fountain.  B and I had fun indulging ourselves here.

The Bellagio. A sight to see…

…and because I’m a photographer and did not enjoy my lack of pictures from our trip….B and I enjoying Ruby’s malts at the airport….because we’re classy like that.

It’s good to be home…sans the 45 degree weather difference….

Much Love,

Krysta

Soooo…Mike and Ashley’s session was actually taken at the end of last summer.  I am just now posting it and seeing the images above are really really reaaalllly making me long for summer.

I seriously had so much fun with these two.  They are that couple that you feel like you’ve known forever.  I went home after their session and told Brady that we should make plans to hang out with them…fun, fun people.

Mike had quite the fun time messing with me.  Seriously, he never stops joking and I love anyone who play along with my witty banter so we got along just fine.  …and Ashley. Well, look at her. She is drop dead gorgeous!  She’s also one of the sweetest girls I’ve ever met and I don’t think she stopped smiling the whole session…except for when I told her she had to stop and be serious. :)

I could’ve posted every image from their gallery. They were so beautiful and so comfortable in front of the camera.  These are a  few of my faves!

I cannot wait to photograph their April wedding in Destin, Florida!

Have a happy weekend all! My Love and I are off to Las Vegas! Wahooooo!! I’ll be returning to the office on Wednesday.

Much Love,

Krysta xo

…wear them for you, I do.

Because.

I don’t want you to be forgotten.

I don’t want you to be forgotten.

I..don’t..want..you..to..be..forgotten…

My mother shares the same letters on her left wrist.  After we were done, the man came up to us and said, “Did you pick that signature for a reason?”  We told him that we had just picked a few documents with clear signatures and wondered why he asked.  …and then he said, “Because…there’s a heart in the “E”…it looks like you picked the right one…”

Sometimes I feel like I am living someone else’s life…like the pieces don’t fit.  Growing up I always thought that when I got older I would need my parents less.  Turns out I was wrong…I need them more.  The fact that one of them is missing is something I will never understand.  The next few years will be filled with a lot of change, a lot of growth, a lot of moving and adjusting, a lot of  building and moving forward.  I really really wish my father were here to be a part of it all.  I know he still is, in a very different way, but his larger than life presence is something I yearn for on a daily basis.  I do what I can to savor, to remember, to keep him very much alive in our lives and the lives of our children that are yet to make their way here.  I try so very hard…

I was listening to a song by “Communist Daughter” yesterday as I drove to pick Michael up from school.  I thought the lyrics were so beautiful…”so I just pushed on through and I made my muscles move because I knew I couldn’t stay…” I feel like that has been the way we have been living our lives since August of 2008.  We put one foot in front of the other and try to keep moving along in this life.  We know we can’t constantly stay in the missing so we forge ahead in the living.

Still.

I don’t want him to ever be forgotten.

Love Letters.

For you.

…we hurried down to Balboa Island to take pictures by the Ferris wheel…

…we ended up on the wrong side of the island as the sun was setting…quickly…

…we decided to stop for salt water taffy instead…and walk in between the cute little beach cottages…

…we belly laughed as people drove by watching Sheye twirl in her vintage 70′s frock…

…we skipped with bare feet and took in all the lovely of Newport…

…we waved at the Ferris wheel, lit up and spinning, just across the water and pouted that we had missed it…

…we ate good Italian food and taught tourists how to use their cameras…

…we scratched our plans and made new ones…and under the pink summer sky…it was just as perfect too…

Missing my best girl today and thinking summer can’t come soon enough until we see each other again…
