Okay, seriously people. These babies are killing me. Killing.Me. Do you see the cheeks and thighs on Mr. Tripp? You know I have a weakness for chunkalicious babies. He was SO happy too. All I had to do was look at him and he would smile with that whole little body of his. (Insert melting into a puddle here.) Poor Turk (as she is known to most people) was so patient in waiting for Tripp’s shoot. We had originally scheduled it for early September. I thought we would be absolutely fine, but the day of the shoot it was 40 degrees with a wind advisory. After re-scheduling twice, we finally got a perfect morning in October. I absolutely love the way Turk and Dan love this little man. Their whole session is nothing but gorgeous as are they inside and out.
Dan and Turk – thank you so much for letting me capture your little boy as he is now…little treasures.
Tripp – munch, munch, munch on you sweet boy!

…what more could I ask for?
I seriously love these girls. They remind me so much of me when I was little. I love how giddy little girls get when they get to put on dresses and bows and special jewelry and play dress up. I walked in and they were both so excited to show me what outfits they had picked out…and I, of course, thought they were perrrrfect. I had stayed up until 1 am the night before making WISH letters and glittering lollies and ironing curtains. However, the next day rolled around and it was cold. COLD. Like so cold that after 15 minutes we let the girls go inside to have a little break. Poor Katelyn thought her feet were going to fall off!! Katie and I stayed outside hanging curtains and letters and the two of us looked at each other at one point wondering if we had both gone crazy! BUT I love these images. I love everything about them and you know I’m a happy girl when I get to throw a little candy processing in the mix too! You can see more of Lauren and Katelyn here and here from their shoot last year…also a dream! :)
Hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend!

I’m sure these pretty little faces will look familiar to a lot of you! :) I was lucky enough to photograph Jennifer Nace and her adorable family back in October. It’s always a special thing for me to be able to photograph another photographer. I know how hard it is to include yourself in family photos. I also know the work that goes along with proofing client sessions so that leaves little time to proof your own. Jennifer told me in advance that her boys were very sweet and outgoing and that I would adore them…and she was right. As soon as I walked up to them, Ashton slipped his little hand in mine and off we went. :) I’m so glad we decided to shoot at a pumpkin patch. Truth be told, I’m not sure the boys even knew it was a photo shoot and I think Jennifer’s husband, Jamie, had a little bit of fun too!
The boys and I then had a little fun with caramel apples, pop rocks (a huuuge hit!), and playing pretend. I’m always amazed at what kids can come up with. As soon as I suggested wearing the fabric as capes, Aidan started talking about superheroes and battles and how they needed to find sticks for sword fighting. I sat back and just watched them play for awhile with a smile on my face. The simplest of things had made them happy that day and I was so happy that I was able to capture it all for their parents…
Jennifer – thank you so much for trusting me to capture your little family. It is always an honor to photograph someone whose work you admire (have you seeeeeen her newborn shots? Melt.me.) I had such a blast with the four of you that afternoon and you can tell your boys that that, yes, I will come back any day to play! …and P.S …your two make me want to give Mikey little brothers. :)
Much love to you and yours,
Krysta

First of all, I want to thank each and every one of you for your amazing random acts of kindness. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to read all of the wonderful things being done to pay it forward this holiday season. I also don’t believe there is an act too small or too trivial. You would be amazed at the power of even the simplest of things. I hope everyone will continue their random acts of kindness going forward. As I was graciously reminded by my Uncle Al, “Kindness should be a way of living, not just a random act.” :)
I am also happy to announce that we have a winner!! Miss Sara, please contact me at krysta@krystamanthe.com to claim your prize! I used a random number generator to draw our winner so it was completely out of my hands! However, as I stated in my last giveaway, that number generator screen shot is not a pretty one so I fancy’d it up! :)
Thank you again to you all for making this such a fun and rewarding giveaway for me. I think there shall be another “random act of kindness” giveaway to come in 2011!
Much Love,
Krysta
