Well, honestly I can’t believe I’m talking about stocking stuffers already, BUUUUT I have had several people ask if I have gift certificates available.  The answer is yes!  Please e-mail me at krysta@krystamanthe.com or contact me here if you would like to purchase a gift certificate. Please note all gift certificates must be used in 2011.  Please also note that each certificate is authentically stamped and signed so that it may not be duplicated in any way.  I also keep track of every individual who purchases a certificate and who it is being gifted to.

…and in keeping with the upcoming holidays theme…I have a “Favorite Things” giveaway coming soon so be sure to check back!

Happy Weekend!

Krysta

She was six when I left. I used to pick her up from her first grade classroom after school.  She used to love the Disney Channel.  Cheesy popcorn. Salami. The color purple.  We used to put Britney Spears in her little CD player and dance in the living room until she would fall over belly laughing.  …and then I would belly laugh at her belly laughing.  She was gentle and feisty. Smart and stubborn. Beautiful and sassy. She was my Mikayla.

…so it took me awhile to gather myself when I walked into that same house that was my second home during college and this grown, tanned, stunning girl walked out to greet me.   She is still gentle and feisty. Smart and stubborn. Beautiful and sassy. She is still my Mikayla. …but she is almost fourteen now and I’m not sure how we got from there to here.  I’m not sure how seven years passed.

I stopped through my old college town this summer after a shoot in Minnesota.  It was late and I knew I wouldn’t be able to make the full drive back home.   So, I stayed with the family I used to nanny for.  Patty, Mikayla, and I stayed up until two in the morning talking and catching up.   When I went to bed I couldn’t stop thinking about how grown up she is. :(  The next day we took out her new beach cruiser and did a mini shoot of Mikayla. We listened to Lady Gaga and Eminem, got coffee, and laughed again until our bellies hurt.  I guess as much as things change, some things stay the same.

My Mikayla – so beautiful you are. I am so proud of who you have become and who you are yet to be.  Love you, I do.  xo

P.S.  That incredibly adorable bike basket cover was custom made by my friend, Stacy, who will be opening up her shop, Tickled Pink, in 2011. She will be doing custom orders – wait until you see the pinwheel cover – a-dore!

P.P.S. Mikayla’s sister Meghan coming soon too! :)

I’m working on finishing up this session right now…these two are my favorites. :)  I have had the most gorgeous group of girls in front of my camera this year.  They exude beauty – inside and out.

It has been crazy over here! Tis the season. However, I do have some posts coming up with….a GIVEAWAY and Krysta Manthe Photography stocking stuffers so stay tuned.

I also promise that I will start writing more than one to two lines per post too. Pinky Promise!!

Much Love,

Krysta xo
