… a few more images from Brad and Erin’s California engagement session.  More sunshine, bits of beautiful, and shoes to covet.

Much Love,

Krysta

I honestly don’t know if I have words for this one.  It pretty much left me speechless and we all know that’s a feat in and of itself.  The two beyond beautiful children above are my best girl Stacey’s niece and nephew, Irelyn (Irie) and Garrison.  They are such special little people to their family and Stacey has teased me shared images of them with me telling me we need to get a session scheduled.  The only problem is that they live five hours away in the opposite direction of where I’m usually headed.  SO, when she said they would be in town for a few days and asked if we could set something up, the answer was easy.  Irie and I got along just fine singing “Paparazzi” by Lady Gaga and “You Belong To Me” by Taylor Swift – her favorites…I might sorta kinda like them too I guess.   Garrison was perfectly fine with me nibbling on his tanned cheeks and baby thighs – two things I’m a sucker for.  Overall, it was just a peaceful, pretty evening.   I already know that Stacey is an amazing human being and her brother and his wife follow the same path.  I am so happy I got to meet them and these little people I hear so much about.  I love walking away from sessions feeling like I have made new friends…

A very special thank you to Jessie Dieball for offering up Mr. Thunder shown in the images above.  I’m always excited when I hear about new locations and the fact that it came complete with this beautiful creature is such an amazing surprise.  However, Brady already told me “NO” when I came home and asked him for a pony.  Hey, I tried!

…and to Miss Irie – Auntie Stacey and I have already been in discussion about taking the ferry over to your corner of the world Sunshine!

Much Love to all and Happy Weekend!

Krysta

It has been a long while since I did a post on pretty things that make me happy.  They’re small things, but they all have stories and meaning behind them which is another reason they put a smile on my face.

1. A vintage find that will be used in an upcoming shoot. I.am.excited! 2.  The crown tea towel that I found at Rachel Ashwell. I have the matching plate and cup too as I couldn’t resist having the complete set. 3.  Urban Outfitter’s new line of socks that I am ga ga for.  Basically anything with lace makes me a happy girl as you can clearly see.  I wore my gray pair around the house today just because… 4. Baby booties made out of old tea towels.  5.  Stacy sent me pink chop sticks to use when I make my dad’s stir fry recipe…put tears in my eyes when I opened them…to know she thought of that… 6. 1950′s vintage lace – enough said. :) 7. Stacy also hand sewed an apron for me because she’s handy like that and knows I can’t resist vintage fabric. 8. My crown that was a birthday gift from my Aunt Kathy.  To say I love it is an understatement. It sits in my window ledge and reminds me of her when I look at it. 9.  An Alice In Wonderland pillow made out of tea towels I found at Patina. I bought pom-poms to go on it and my parent’s good friend, Nancy, stitched it up for me.

A bit of Pretty’ness for your day…

Much Love,

Krysta

I do a little happy dance every time I go back to delete files and find little gems like this staring me in the face. Kills me, she does.   I’m just wondering what fun this little one has in store for us.  My brother called the other day and said Ayla’s favorite song is “Single Ladies” by Beyonce.   She’s got the dance down pat to prove it.  :)

* And now back to our scheduled programming…more Cali pics coming soon.  Yes, there’s more. *

Little Miss Gia, her beautiful mommy and daddy, dear friends, Montage Resort, perfect light = happy happy girl.  You would never know it, but about five minutes after we started shooting the above images, the fire alarm went off at the Montage..and it was LOUD!  Poor baby Gianna started crying and I can’t say I blame her.  The crying wore her out and she ended up falling asleep in her mama’s arms.  I thought we’d lose the light, but she woke up bright eyed and ready to go and let us capture a few more of her down at the beach before the sun went down.   We visited her at home a few days later and she was a dreeaam baby.  I loved watching how in love her parents are with her.  Her daddy is so protective of her and her mama lights up every time she looks at her.  Sheye and I couldn’t get enough of this sweet baby girl…

See? She is all kinds of scrumptious. Those little baby thighs get me every time!

AJ, Nina, and Beautiful Gia – thank you so much for letting us spend the evening with you and inviting us into your home to capture your family.  You are such warm, giving people and Sheye and I both felt so lucky to have had the opportunity to meet you.   I am counting down the days until my lens dances with your baby girl again.

Andy and Rachel -  Thank you so much for being so wonderful, for introducing us to AJ, Nina, and Gianna, and for the beautiful conversation over a glass of wine.  We shall do it again very soon!

Much Love to all of you!

Krysta
