…this weekend and I must say I was quite happy with it. :)

My new favorite…she is too beautiful.

This is my Leah.  One of my very best and closest friends.  The one I get mistaken for a twin for.   The one who laughs with me when people tell us we are lying even after we’ve assured them several times we’re just friends.  The one whose presence alone is enough.  The one I’ve lived with, laughed with, wished with, cried with, let go of  loved ones with, welcomed new loves and babies with.   And even though there is no blood line between us, she is like a sister to me…the one I’ve always wanted.

This weekend we got to do something we haven’t done in a long while.  We got to take our time.  No boys. No children.  Just us and the day.  We ate sushi outside, stopped for coffee, and caught up on the latest happenings of Brodie and Mikey.   We wished for our Erin to be with us, people watched, and found the most beautiful location tucked away in the heart of the city.  Leah was my model yesterday for a project I’m working on.  I couldn’t think of anyone more perfect to dance with my camera for the day.  We probably would’ve finished a lot quicker if I hadn’t stopped every two frames to look at the images and tell her she was killing me with her gorgeous’ness! :)

Leah, thank you for a perfect day and a perfect you.  Loves.

This is what made me a happy girl today.

Every day I run past a big beautiful lilac bush…and every day I stop to smell it before I continue on my way again.  That scent brings me back to my childhood.  However, I know their stay will be brief so today I decided to bring a few home with me and bask in that scent just a litttttle bit longer…

Happy Weekend!

Krysta

I don’t really have any words to go along with the candy colored images above, but to say that there are many many shades of happy woven into them.  The only thing that would make this post better is the audio that accompanied that gorgeous face.

Seeing this is how I know that it’s the little things in life that matter the most.  Truly truly.

Much Love,

Krysta

My mind seems to be elsewhere today…

Perhaps if Mother Nature would discontinue the cold and rain and replace it with some sunshine, that would help.

I’m off to watch “Coco Before Chanel” and I’m pretty sure that’s going to be a dose of sunshine itself. :)
