Ivy wore a tutu.

We ate marshmallows and chocolates that looked like teacups.

Sheye said her Aunty Vandra is sixteen at heart and reminds her of Alice in Wonderland.

I drank tea out of the most beautiful cup.  With extra sugar.

Finger sandwiches and pastries sat on pretty tiered trays.

The setting? Aunty Vandra’s garden.

This was my very first  High Tea.

I was warned.  Several times by several people.

The girls looked like dolls.

They all had lips of red. And bows on their shoes.

The clothes sparkled. We went through them one by one.

I coveted every headband. Every pair of tights. Every everything.

And left with a few of my own.

I met Jessi.

This was my first, and certainly not my last, trip to Alannah Hill.

And I am so so happy they did.

I was going to post this yesterday, but with all of the April Fool’s jokes going on, I figured I better save it a day to avoid confusion.  I will say that Starbucks really went above and beyond with their prank of the Plenta and the Micra.  And despite what my brother and Brady believe to be true, no, I was not secretly hoping for the release of the Plenta.  I do know my limits.

Here’s some useless and random information for you as well:

The birthstone for those born in April is the diamond. The flower is the Sweet Pea.  Brady was shaking his head at both of these. It’s quite fitting if you ask me. :)

It is also National Poetry Month along with the month that holds tax day, Buddha’s birthday, World Health Day, Earth Day, and in case you were wondering when National Manatee Awareness Month is…it’s in April too.
