…he took off his mask to show me that he’s still sweet little Mikey. :)

…on his way home.

I mean really…was there any doubt that he would go as anything other than a Star Wars character? So, Darth won because he is apparently Michael’s favorite. I wish I could embed the deep Darth breathing that accompanied the costume or perhaps the Star Wars theme song he so graciously sang for Brady and I the entire time he was trick or treating. It was 44 degrees here today so needless to say our trick or treating only lasted about a half hour. Michael still managed to somehow fill his entire bucket with candy and I managed to once again go overboard with pictures. But, this is all I can manage to “prettify” today. :)…a little peek for the grandparents if you will!

Next up: Jeromey and Leann’s wedding sneak peek!

Happy Weekend!

Happy weekend! :)

Krysta

Remember Ryley? Well, she was also in the “Babies Turning One” Club and celebrated her first birthday a few weeks before Miss Ayla. She has quite the personality too. She was such a bright light in my Aunt Cheryl’s healing, making visits to Courage Center to bring her a bit of joy. Her first steps were actually at Courage Center and I thought how appropriate because Cheryl’s first steps in learning to walk again after her stroke were there as well. So, during my last visit to Minnesota about a half hour before I had to leave for the airport, Miss Ryley and I went outside for a few snaps and so she could show off a bit. I wanted to see her little legs walking like a big girl. Well, forget the walking. She took off running and never looked back. I’ll be anxious to see the troublesome two of Ryley and Ayla together at the holidays! Stay tuned…

Muah Miss Ryley. x’s and o’s…lots of them!

(love the drop of water in the upper left that took the shape of a heart. :)

Things we did this weekend:
* Watched “Where The Wild Things Are” and oh how I lovety loved loved loved this movie. I think I may have even loved it more than Michael. Brady was making fun of me for how enamored I was during the movie. I do believe the cutest thing in the world I have ever heard is, “Don’t go. I’ll eat you up I love you so.” Swoon.
* Got a new monitor for our computer, which I’m also in love with. I have a new project table coming handmade by my Uncle Al (I can’t wait to post pics) and this will look mighty purty perched upon it.
* Stocked up on fall candles. Our house smells so lovely. It has put a smile on my face all weekend.
* Read books at Barnes & Noble.
* Survived a fat and bloody lip from a light saber battle. No, it wasn’t Mikey. It was me. The boy was triumphant when he took a green saber right to my face. I think he felt worse than I did. Today, he keeps asking to see my lip and then says, “GROSSSSSSS” when I show him the battle scar.
* Most of all, we just enjoyed. We spent all weekend just enjoying being together as a family with no schedule. How I wish there were more days like these…

Pretty funny isn’t he?

He kills me.

I have a lot more to share, but I have two hungry boys waiting for dinner. My dream come true is to someday get around to posting all of the pictures sitting in my blog folder. Sigh.

Hope you all had a happy weekend!!

Much Love,
Krysta

Sigh. My dear, sweet, adorable, animated, funny Luka or Yukabuka or Potapants…whatever we feel like calling him on any given day. He seriously makes.me.laugh!! His pre-school teacher said his personality is far too big for his little body. I do believe Boppa may have passed something down to him. :)
Wellll, one thing that accompanies his larger than life personality is his lack of sitting and/or standing still. I tried every trick in the book to get him to look at the camera and smile while remaining still for more than 1.3 seconds. It wasn’t until I told him that Handy Manny was in my camera and wanted to say “hi” to him, that I got these. The picture on the right actually displays the screeching and dancing that accompanied this announcement. He then came over, looked into my lens and said, “Hiiii Handy Manny!” as you see on the left.
I’m so over the moon in love with him…

…and proof of his wild ways. Please see Exhibits A. and B. The picture of the kids just did NOT happen that day.

A. Luka escapes the family picture.

B. He tries to make another fast getaway. Luckily, Sabrena has remarkable toddler catching skills. :)
