Today it was confirmed that Michael is indeed going to make some lucky girl a wonderful husband someday. Yes, I know he’s only four, but the boy has already got it down. He is taking lessons from his daddy. After Brady picked Michael up from school today, he called me to tell me they were on their way home. He was on his bluetooth so Michael could hear everything I was saying. When Brady asked me how my day was, I told him I had kind of a bum day…just one of those days that comes out of nowhere. After Brady and I hung up, Brady asked Michael what they could do to make me feel better. Michael’s response? “Well, we could think of her favorite meal that she likes to eat all the time and then go home and make it for her?” And he thought it up all on his own. Instead, however, my amazing boys presented me with flowers, chocolates, and my favorite organic soaps from Whole Foods – hand picked by Michael. I must say I truly am a spoiled girl. …and after seeing his face light up when he gave me his gifts, the day was nothing less than beautiful….

I was going to take me out of his glasses, but I kind of like the fact that I’m there. :)

Poor Brady. He gets suckered into all kinds of things and he’s such a good sport. Although this time around there was a lot of, “Krystaaaa…wwhyyy???” I would’ve been better off working with Michael. BUT, after he saw the images he understood completely why I made him pull over to the side of the road like a lunatic and stand in a field as cars drove by. He was in the middle of a phone conversation with my brother at the time and I believe his exact words were, “Nate, I gotta call you back. Your sister is being crazy again.”
This is the first weekend in a loooong time that Brady and I have NO plans. There’s nowhere we need to be, no traveling, no schedule, aanndd we are toddler-less for the weekend. Needless to say, as wonderful as it is, we are a little lost as to what to do with oursevles. So we went out to dinner, slept in, grabbed a coffee, and now we’re ready to head out to Target. That’s right…leave us to fend for ourselves and we do it up big! :)
Happy weekend everyone!

This beautiful image by Bersa.
And this one by Sandra Freij
Or this by Tim Walker, my fav. Drooling over the disco balls.

I have been listening to both on repeat the last two weeks. “Come Around” by Rosi Golan is on my favorite list as is “Goodnight San Francisco” by The Bittersweets. It’s not their most recent cover, but it’s the prettiest one. :)

My new Madeleine shower curtain from Anthro. Let it be known, Brady was NOT happy about this purchase. I snuck it in. But we ended up cutting a deal. He is going to let me adore its pretty’ness throughout the winter months and come spring, he’ll be able to pick out a new one. You know, another whiter one without a lace panel and ruffles. :) Sigh…sweet boy of mine.
Love these candles I found at Patina. I’m always in search of new candles, but I’m a fussy one when it comes to scents so I stocked up on these!
My Kings Road crown dessert plates from my mama. Are they not beautiful? I still need to have people over just so I can use them and stop staring at them. They’re from Zinnias in Waseca…love that little store.
This book which I stumbled upon and fell in love with. It’s one of the sweetest things I’ve read in a long time. Written by Rob Ryan as is the artwork. He cuts all of his designs out of paper. I think his work is amazing and admire someone with so much talent.

…and happy happy joy joy. I was a sad girl when Polaroid decided they were going to be no longer. I stocked up on film, but it’s almost gone. The Polaroids are such a beautiful medium so to see them available for just a teeny bit longer makes me happy. Love Urban for being so clever.
…and that’s all I have for today kids. If I had an extra hour in my day, I would try to line everything up in this post so it looks prettier, but guess what? I don’t. So this will have to do!! :)
Happy long weekend coming up too…music to my ears!
Much Love,

I suspect there won’t be many more. I can feel fall a comin’. I’m actually fine with it as I love fall. It’s just thee ummmm, thing, that comes after it that I despise. Best not to talk about that yet though. No need to make a girl cringe with winter talk already.
We took Mikey out for a little playtime. This is actually right in our front yard. You walk down “the big hill” as Mikey calls it and it opens up to Lake Michigan, a spread of beautiful willows and amazing light that peeks over the city skyline. It’s no wonder Brady and I have yet to fall in love with a house in the suburbs. We live in the most beautiful part of the city. I just can’t bear to leave it.
I’m short on words today. I have a long list of to-do’s staring at me and really I’m procrastinating. I suppose I better be responsible like and get on with it!
Much Love,
Krysta
