She was fixated on the water, but reaching for Mommy and Daddy…my favorite shot from the shoot.

I had to get one of those CURLS!!

…the last two shots on my camera. I knew it was a wrap!!

Well, well, well. Let me tell you. I really had a hard time choosing what pictures to post from Madison’s shoot. There are SO many. I’ll have to admit, I was a little nervous at first. Madison’s mommy put her gorgeous little suit on, grabbed her hand and started walking towards the beach. As soon as her little feet hit the sand, tears erupted. She wasn’t quite sure how to get to where she wanted to go in the shifting sand. BUT as soon as she saw the water, she took off running and all was well in our world again. The only other time we had a problem was when we took her OFF the beach to do some grass shots! :)
Madison’s daddy, Robert, is one of Brady’s best friends so it’s extra special that I got to photograph her. I may be biased, but I can’t get over how truly gorgeous she is. I kept ooohhing and ahhhing over her at the shoot and the currrls. The curls kill me!
Robert and Megan, I hope you love Maddy’s pictures. There are many more to come!
Much Love,
Krysta

We headed down to the beach tonight with Miss Madison and her mommy and daddy for her summer shoot. Can.you.believe.how.gorgeous.this.child.is?? Robert and Megan…are you SUUURREE we can’t work out some sort of arrangement?! :)
More to come…
Much Love,
Krysta

Well, it was a nice little break…a beautiful one actually. Another little jaunt out to Cali to say goodbye to the casa de Rosemeyers before they head back. Or if we’re talking in Ivy terms, to “have just one more cuddle.” And now, sigh, it’s back to reality. It had to come sooner or later right?
Looking at this today made me smile. If I could step back into that place for only a few moments…the boys were behind me belly laughing as they sprayed water from the garden hose at one another. Ivy stepped inside the kitchen and turned on the iPod so we could dance…and dance we did. Who doesn’t love a little shake your booty party on a Friday afternoon? I’m pretty sure I had the most adorable dance partner ever too don’t you think?
P.S. I will be sending out e-mails this week with open dates!!
Much Love,
Krysta
Just a little note to say I’ll be out until Monday so for those of you who have e-mailed me about scheduling sessions, I will respond with open dates when I get back! And for my fellow Minnesotans, I’ll be opening up dates once again for the Minneapolis area so e-mail me if you’re interested.
Enjoy the rest of your week!!
Much Love,
Krysta
* Note: Tara Whitney was not harmed during this shoot. Promise.*
There are people in this world that you meet and effortlessly fall in love with. They are familiar. Gentle. Comfortable. They need no introduction. You just seem to fall into perfect rhythm and the story that unfolds thereafter is beautiful. I felt this way with Sheye and now years later, the two of us felt this way in meeting Tara. Tara Whitney that is. Yes, yes, yes….THEE Tara.
Admittedly I was nervous. We had corresponded several times over e-mail and talked on the phone a few times before the shoot, but come on face-to-face? And then something happened. We pulled up and there she was…a huge smile on her face. We hugged, we laughed, we talked all things photo and the rest is really history. By the end of our shoot, we were all sitting around on an old quilt of hers, champagne in hand, in the middle of a field, laughing endlessly. If it weren’t for the sun setting and strange field creatures starting to make noises (true story), I would’ve gladly stayed all night. I was sad to leave. I had a welcomed a new friend into this heart of mine and a few mere hours just weren’t enough. Sheye and I drove home arguing about who adored her more. (I’d like to think that I won, but Sheye will tell you the jury is still out!)
As I have said before…Sheye is an incredible gift in my life and now Tara has given me something just as beautiful and for that, there are no words. Every time I look at these images, my eyes well with tears. I am reminded of an evening filled with laughter, serenity, and friendship. I could ask for nothing more.
Many of you may have already seen the slideshow on Sheye’s blog, but for those of you who haven’t, it can be found here. The password is “field”.
Special thank yous to Sheye and Tara…for being the amazing, beautiful women that you are. I am so lucky…
Much love,
Krysta
