I will tell you this. There was never a dull moment during this entire wedding day as you can plainly see. There was A LOT of laughing, a lot of one liners, a lot of Dan and Laura entertaining, but more than anything, a lot of love. Both Dan and Laura’s families are extremely close and the friendships they have formed over the years are very intimate. I felt lucky to be able to be an outsider looking in and to be the lucky one to capture it all. I will let the pictures speak for themselves…

He’s totally throwing “The Force” at me…
Well, shame on me because I wasn’t going to post these. I was going to leave them in the “saved abyss of ‘Edit Posts’ without titles.” You know, the ones that never see the light of day? I’m anal about my blog…about it looking pretty and well I am busy busy at the moment working full-time and editing sessions. Unfortunately that means our family pics sit and wait patiently to get pretty’fied. So, truth be told, these aren’t technically the greatest, but I do love it when Brady picks up the camera and starts snapping.
THIS is a typical night at our household. You may remember my post many many moons ago about Michael’s obsession with Star Wars. I would looove to report that it is a thing of the past, but I’m afraid it consumes the child’s brain 24/7. It is ALL we hear about. Luckily for us, we live on the lakefront so right outside our front door is endless miles of space for Michael to run and battle to his little heart’s content. And look who the lucky one was that won (or lost) the toin coss to battle. He’s very serious about his mad Jedi skills. So serious it frightens me. I spend half of the time yelling at him to “be gentle” and “go easy” on me. Still when I see that child’s face light up at the mention of picking saber colors, assigning characters, and battling the night away…how could I resist? So the pictures are pretty to me…pretty memories that I’ll always treasure. (I’m even getting pretty good! Ssshhhh…..don’t tell Michael.)
Off to shoot Dan and Laura’s wedding this weekend!
