… and Ryley says, “That’s a wrap kids. I’m outta here!”

My cousin Jess e-mailed me months ago so she could book a session for Miss Ryley while I was back home in Minnesota. How could I say no to that face? Soooo our entire, and I do mean entire family gathered around while Ryley worked her magic. I must say…my favorite part of my day was when I turned around and saw everyone laughing and smiling…something that looked impossible so many months ago. Shortly after my father left Ryley and Ayla were both brought into this world and I can’t think of two greater gifts that could have been given to us. I really do feel absolutely blessed to be a part of such an amazing family…

Much Love,

Reasons I love my mama:

* She’s selfless. I have to beg her to put herself first for once. I have yet to see it happen.
* Nothing rattles her. She’s always been this way. I am quite opposite. If I had a dime for every time I heard her say, “Krysta, in the grand scheme of life, this is a blink of an eye.” …
* She sends me cookies and brownies from Cheryl and Co. for every holiday…she knows they’re my favorite and that I have to hide them from Brady.
* She’s strong in her faith just as my father was. She will never waiver from it and I respect her so much for it.
* She loves Starbucks just as much…ummm…maybe even more than I do.
*…the way she talks to Sabrena like they’re best girlfriends.
* She’s always up for anything…as she puts it, “I’m just along for the ride!”
* Her strength. How she amazes me. I never gave her credit for how strong she is. I have seen bits of her emerge and evolve over the past nine months.
* She doesn’t cook, sew, bake, or do anything crafty. And doesn’t care. :)
* She is my best friend. There are no secrets.
* Even after 35 years of marriage, she was and is absolutely smitten with my father. It’s a remarkable example of marriage to grow up with.

…and 1,000 other reasons. I’m a day late because we were actually in Minnesota with my mama this weekend. We had such a great time!! Can you see that her pertty little teeth are starting to come down with the help of her braces or teeth bling as I like to call it. She and Sabrena are having a bet to see who can get their braces off first. I’ve got five bucks on my mom. :)

Thank you for all you continually do for this family Mama, for inspiring me, for being so beautiful and amazing. I love you!

Oh how I love my Saturdays!! We all slept in, stopped for a coffee, took Michael to the pet store… I somehow even managed to take an odd liking to a Nile Monitor lizard named Buford. Don’t ask me how it happened. We had a nice lunch out and then out of nowhere, Brady and I were taken over by Michael’s powerful brown eyes again. I don’t know how he does it, but he walked out of the store with more Star Wars toys, another lightsaber, and new Star Wars sheets. As we were walking out Brady said, “What just happened? It’s like second Christmas for this child today!” Maybe he really is a powerful Jedi and we just don’t know it. :)
So, we had to stop by the playground by our house so Michael could try out the new gems and expend some of his energy from his Star Wars high.
And yes, I have a very happy 4 year old who said he slept “really really good in his new Star Wars sheets.” What more do you need?

Much Love,
