I know a lot of funny people. Really, I do. But I will have to say that Michael, at four and a half (have to add the half or I’ll get yelled at) is on my list of the world’s funniest people. Daddy got up very early (way earlier than I would ever get up for ummm…anything) and went golfing. Michael and I got to sleep in (7:00!). I realized that Daddy forgot to transfer Michael’s booster to my car so all hopes of a Target run to get the new Darth Vader transformer and cupcake mix were out the window. So Michael and I decided to go for a long walk this morning. We walked to the park where apparently there was a giant sea monster that had engulfed me 182 times. I didn’t not see said sea monster, but Mikey assured me he was there and that he had in fact eaten me and spit me out over a “hundred million” times. Michael then found a juice box on the ground and said, “Oh mannnnn…someone glittered and I don’t like glittering.” So he picked it up and put it in the garbage. I told him that his act was a very nice thing to do and that he was helping to keep the earth clean. This comment, in turn started a complete obsession with “glittering.” After the park we walked to Starbucks to grab our morning treats and Michael pointed out every single piece of trash he could find (with a lightsaber mind you. Did I mention that he made me carry a lightsaber and battle him the whooolle way there and back. The stares from everyone driving by were lovely.) So, when we were finally a block away from Starbucks and Michael had seen all of the “glittering” he could handle, he turned to me and said, “I gotta tell ya…I hate glittering. I’m getting madder and madder when I see more glitter. I hope Daddy is havin’ a better morning than we are.” Apparently the “glitter” had turned his world upside down. We have a new “Go Green” machine on our hands and I gotta say I’m likin’ it!
And his pictures…he got new aviators just like Daddy and he loves them almost as much as his fedora which did not come off today either. The tree pics were a happy mistake. I turned around and Michael had sat down by the most gorgeous tree with the most gorgeous light. A giddy girl I was!
Things that made me happy today:
Fresh fruit for breakfast.
My morning mocha.
New music from iTunes.
A fun package in the mail.
My new top from Anthro.
Tocca Cleopatra perfume.
The sun shining all day.
New ink for my printer. (true story. made me happy)
Phone call from my mama.
The lilac bush around the corner from our house.
My headbands. It’s a new obsession.
Dwell Magazine.
Catching up on Grey’s Anatomy episodes.
and…
the realization when I was cleaning our room that my purty knobs I love so much have not been taken off of our dresser. Brady hates them, but he knows they make me happy and so they stayed. Looking at them today made me smile and I added it to the list of the many many many reasons I love that man. Something so simple, but made my heart happy today.
And yes those are my dad’s reading glasses and his money clip. They also make me happy just to look at them and know they once traveled with him wherever he went. The Lollia products are Sheye’s fault. She has me hooked and now I cannot lay my head on my pillow until I have lathered myself in WISH lotion.
I would have it no other way…
Happy Weekend!!

…to the beat of his own drum.
We walked to go eat dinner out tonight and on the way back stopped to get Michael a push-up. I’m not sure how much actually even made it into his mouth. As expected, half of it landed on his hands, arms, and face. Instead of asking us to wipe it off for him or even wiping it on his shirt, which would have been acceptable at this point, he so graciously got down and wiped his face in the dirt. Makes sense. You clean up sticky red goo with dirt. I then looked down to see that he had indeed taken off one shoe because why wear two when you can get by with one? Duh.
As we walked inside I told him it was time for a bath to which he replied very seriously, “Hey. Don’t even try to trick me into this.”
And that is precisely why we love him so.
*Taken in extremely low light so a bit noisy, but they showcase him perfectly so had to post.*

I love “It’s a wrap” shots. I don’t think anyone was more excited than Jeromey to finally say it!
…and so the story goes…Leann and I met during our freshman year of college. She is one of those girls that you meet and instantly fall in love with. She was warm and funny and always up for anything. We ended up having classes together and had our fair share of eye glares for “too much talking” Gasp I know! It’s hard to believe isn’t it? And then as you know, life happens. We graduated. She moved to California. I moved to Milwaukee. We left each other messages here and there on My Space and Facebook. I knew of Jeromey through pictures. I found out she was moving back to Minnesota to be closer to family and well, the rest is history. She contacted me to shoot her engagement and wedding pictures and I, of course, said yes without hesitation.
Yesterday, we saw each other again after five years and it was SO nice to be able to catch up and to meet this man she has fallen head over heels in love with. I knew he was a good catch from the moment he listened to the non-stop chatter about flowers, dresses, and wedding decorations without so much as batting an eye. I think I may have even scored major points with Jeromey as at the end of the shoot he thanked me for going easy on him. I think it was less painful than he thought it was going to be. :) Hey, throw in a kite and it’s all fair game.
Leann and Jeromey – thank you so much for such a fun day yesterday. I think these are some of my most favorite shots ever! They are beauuutiful as are the two of you…
Much love,
Krysta
