*Taken on a Polaroid so excuse the grain and blur…although I happen to like it!*
There are things in this life I truly believe should never happen. One of them being leaving Kelly and I alone to fend for ourselves in a city of 3 million people. Forget directions. Tell us where the nearest Coach or Tiffany’s store is and we’re golden.
Kel and I spent a couple of days in Chicago and we managed to discover a few things:
1. I will never leave Kelly alone in a shoe store again. Ever.
2. Apparently, I like to strike up conversations with cab drivers. Kelly thinks this is funny. I think it’s just a nice gesture on an awkward ride.
3. Don’t ask random strangers to take your picture. They will follow you for miles.
4. People think it’s crazy when you pull a Polaroid camera out of your purse and stop the flow of traffic on the street.
5. Sweet Mandy B’s is a close second next to Sprinkles for cupcakes. Yes, I just said it. Erin don’t kill me. :(
6. Rachel Ashwell really does have my life. I’m still upset about it.
7. I have a staring problem when I people watch. Who knew?
8. There is magic in that city. Magic I tell you…
Pics to come of Mikey and his party if I can find time in this crazy life that is mine. :{

Daddy and Mikey at Grandma Jean and Bumpa’s house…
Love the next series: Brady stepped in and I’m so thankful he did. This is a nightly constant for Michael and I . Brady always says, “you’re getting him riled up before bed!” We do it anyway.
Waiting for it…
…almost double whammied…
…wham…
…and down for the count with tickling…
Can you believe it? This little ball of wonderment is four. :( I keep telling him he has to stop growing and he keeps on saying he can’t. I really don’t see what all the fuss is about!
And so tomorrow we will be celebrating a la dinosaurs of course…sharks were like so last year. Actually we asked him what he wanted his party to be this year and he said, “I want sharks!” Oh the look on his face when we told him we should probably switch it up as we had sharks last year. It had to be something big and scary with big teeth so the next natural choice was anything ending in “saurus.”
Michael at four:
Adorations: sharks, dinosaurs, snakes, Planet Earth, pillow fights, anything sports, broccoli, pomegranate, singing, chocolate milk, Air Jordans, Monkey, Darth Vadar, his Superman shirt
Vices: gummy worms, candy corn, LUSH bath fizzers, “softing” Daddy’s arm
On his playlist: (yes, he has one!) Apologize by Timbaland feat. One Republic, Amazing by Kanye West, Move Along by All American Rejects, Snow by Red Hot Chili Peppers, University of Michigan “Hail to the Victors” fight song, Right Now by Akon
Favorite movies: Wall-E, Kung Fu Panda, Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Shark Tales, Cars, Shrek
Quotes:
To me after one of our pillow fights: “Hey…I sink next time after school, I’m gonna pillow fight wis you instead of watching a little bit of my movies” – ultimate compliment.
“Daddy, do wieners have bones?”,
Mikey: “Daddy are there other daddys bigger and stronger than you?”
Daddy: “Yes, probably”.
Mikey: “Yeah…but not very much”.
Mikey: “Hey…watch you got on your face? What you puttin’ on your face?”
Me: “This is make-up honey”.
Mikey: “Ohhh…it’s soooo beautiful”.
…and 1,000 other funny, adorable, magnificent things he says on a daily basis that keep Brady and I in constant laughter.
So lucky we are to have him and so excited we are to celebrate with him and T-Rex tomorrow.
Love to you amazing boy. xoxo
Well, well, well…guess who was a baby hog this weekend? Guess who didn’t feel the least bit guilty about it? Guess who tried to pack her away in a suitcase, but failed to make a fast getaway? And here I thought our parents had taught us to share Naatthhaannn?
Isn’t she beautiful? My itty bitty niece Ayla. She was napping in my arms so I laid her down to get a few snaps and there she was peeking at me. I am head over heels in love…
x’s and o’s Sweetness.

(no more Fanta out of the Speedy just for you Sheye)
Why do I have Fergie’s “Glamorous” lyrics ringing in my head as I type this? Oh, probably because Kelly would hear the word glamorous and start singing that song all the while doing a little dance to match. It’s just what she does…just another day in the life of Ms. Dwyer!
This shoot is another homework assignment for my Evolve workshop. I believe the conversation went a little something like this:
Kelly: Soooo, what’s your next assignment for your photography workshop?
Me: Oh, it’s going to be fun. I get to pick my subject and let them pick the theme!
Kelly: I’m doing that. The theme will be “Saucy”.
Me: Perfect. Done.
…and not another word was spoken about it. Actually I showed up the next day with fur, flowers, make-up, and a Louis bag and off we went.
She’s pretty damn glamorous if you ask me!!
Well, it’s official. I have looossstt my mind. I thought I had already posted this picture of Miss Ryley. Maybe I dreamt I did or thought I did in the alternate universe that I live in.
Anyway…here she is! Miss Ryley…one of the newest members of our family born to my beautiful cousin Jessica. I could’ve sworn I heard her say, “Move over Queen. There’s a new Princess in town.” But then again, I have lost my mind so maybe I was hearing things. Surely something this cute couldn’t be so sassy??
Once I get my hands on my new niece Ayla, she’ll make her debut as well…stay tuned!!
x’s an o’s to our new baby girls!!!
